Financing choices are quick to make and slow to undo. A facility signed this year sets the covenant tests, the refinancing date, and the room to manoeuvre for years afterwards. We make the trade-offs explicit before they are locked in.
Capital structure and financial planning tend to be run as separate exercises. One concerns the mix of debt and equity on the balance sheet, the other the numbers behind a five-year plan. They are the same question asked from two sides. What a company can borrow, and on what terms, depends on the plan it is executing against. What the plan can contain depends on what can be financed.
We work across both. The useful output is usually a short list: what the plan requires, what the balance sheet can support, and where those two do not meet.
Our corporate finance team can work through the options and what each one commits you to.
